Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a patient financial counselor in Creve Coeur, MO. You will obtain insurance information, counsel on financial assistance, and help patients complete forms in a clinical department.

You will register new patients, review schedules, remind patients of appointments, and explain billing processes to patients and third‑party payers. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Billing Systems And Third-Party Claims And/Or Medical Office Setting, Related Customer Service (3 Years).
  • A driver’s license is not required for this position.

Salary Range

$17.89 - $26.35 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
