Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Patient Account Representative in Birmingham, AL (UAB Avondale Business Center). You will review patient accounts, research denied insurance claims, and assist with billing and follow-up with patients and insurers. Schedule is Mon-Fri, days, with opportunities to handle related projects.

Under supervision and established protocols, you will complete assigned tasks promptly while maintaining accuracy and compliance with payer requirements and CPT/ ICD-10 coding knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years of relevant experience and general knowledge of payer-specific or medical billing.
• For the II level: 1–3 years of relevant experience and general knowledge of payer-specific or medical billing.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts and research denied healthcare insurance claims.
• Assist with billing and complete follow-up with patients and insurance companies.
• Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
