Responsibilities

• Verifies daily admissions/discharges and organizes billing information for input into the system.
• Answers and routes phone calls and messages to appropriate colleagues.
• Posts cash receipts in accounts receivable for self-pay and third-party payments.
• Verifies payments are reimbursed according to insurance contracts.
• Runs cost estimates for patients and completes prior-authorization to ensure service approval.
• Researches credit balances and refund issues.
