GENERAL OVERVIEW

This role supports professional nurses by observing patients and ensuring a safe environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with patient care activities, such as accompanying patients to tests, therapy sessions, and providing diversional activities. (40%)
• Monitor patient safety through observation, intervene physically when necessary, and communicate needs for additional assistance immediately. (30%)
• Communicate pertinent patient data effectively and promptly. (10%)
• Document patient behavior and activity according to policy, covering medical or behavioral health needs. (10%)
• Take responsibility for personal educational development. (10%)
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification and Crisis Management intervention training will be required during orientation if not already certified at hire. CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred

• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
