We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable Personal Assistant (PA) to support a lovely young boy with his after-school routine in the comfort of his own home and also on a Sunday so the family can attend church.
He has a traumatic brain injury, severe global developmental delay and complex medical needs, meaning he requires 24-hour care and supervision. He is non-verbal but communicates through sounds and expressions. He is generally a calm and content boy who enjoys familiar routines, playing with his toys, watching television and going for walks around the housing estate. He likes to feel clean, comfortable and well cared for.
We are looking for someone who is patient, attentive and compassionate, who can provide personal care, support his medical needs and help him enjoy a happy and settled end to his school day.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference to a lovely boy’s daily life by helping him feel comfortable, supported and cared for after school
On Sundays, the PA will need to arrive at 9.30am to help get him ready to go to Church with his family and support him during the church service as Mum sings in the choir and needs to stand at the front of the church.
