Job summary

Amaze Health is seeking a Billing & Claims Specialist to help patients navigate complex medical billing and insurance issues in a downtown Denver office. The role focuses on reviewing bills, SPDs, and EOBs to ensure accurate benefits application and resolutions.

You will advocate for patients, translate complex information into clear guidance, and collaborate with healthcare providers and insurers to resolve discrepancies in a fast-paced, in-person environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or related healthcare reimbursement function.

Responsibilities

• Review EOBs, itemized bills, and billing statements to identify errors and discrepancies.
• Interpret SPDs and health plan documents to verify benefits and coverage.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and determine next steps.
• Advocate for patients by coordinating with providers and insurers to resolve errors.
• Communicate findings and next steps clearly to patients.
• Document case reviews and communications in internal systems.
• Collaborate with teammates on complex cases to support timely resolutions.
