Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills

• Basic knowledge of insurances, including eligibility and benefit coverage
• Ability to operate general office equipment (i.e., computer, printer, scanner, telephone)
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
• Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and maintains compliance according to departmental guidelines
• Reviews insurance eligibility and updates medical records with health plan information
• Collects co-pays/deductibles and provides receipts or quotes for uninsured patients
• Prepares Medicare ABN and LMRP-related requirements including patient notification and signatures
• Coordinates with staff to ensure timely patient registration and accurate data entry
• Attends staff meetings and performs other duties as assigned
