Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a Part-time Patient Admissions Coordinator to help coordinate admissions across emergency, direct admits, surgical spaces, and transfers. You will partner with the Senior Admissions RN and work with multiple departments to gather documents and communicate admission information in line with policies.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Healthcare related program or two years of equivalent healthcare experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Two years of job related experience (including, but not limited to ED, critical care, call center, front office) in a healthcare setting
Applicants without an Associate’s degree must have four years of job related experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate admissions through patient placement from all areas including emergency departments, direct admits, surgical spaces and transfers.
Assist in collecting documents or information and communicates information relative to patients requiring admission in accordance with established department policies, procedures and workflows.
Collaborate with the Senior Admissions RN and multiple departments, physicians, nursing staff, and other key stakeholders on a regular basis.
