Job summary

Providence Swedish in Seattle is seeking a part-time Patient Admissions Coordinator to coordinate admissions across ED, direct admits, surgical spaces and transfers. You will collect documents and information and relay admission details per policy, working with the Senior Admissions RN and multiple departments.

The role requires collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other stakeholders, and offers base pay with potential for shift differentials and other incentives.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related program, or two years of equivalent healthcare work experience.
• Two years of job-related experience in a healthcare setting (including ED, critical care, call center, front office).

Description

The Patient Admissions Coordinator works to coordinate admissions through patient placement. This includes admissions from all areas, including, but not excluding, emergency departments, direct admits, surgical spaces and transfers. They assist in collecting documents or information and communicates information relative to patients requiring admission in accordance with established department policies, procedures and workflows. This position will work in partnership with the Senior Admissions RN and in collaboration with multiple departments, physicians, nursing staff, and other key stakeholders on a regular basis.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare related program Or Two years of equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting may be accepted in lieu of the degree requirement
• Two (2) years of job related experience (including, but not limited to ED, critical care, call center, front office) in a healthcare setting
• Applicants without an Associate's degree must have four (4) years of job related experience
