Qualifications

  • Expérience de 1 à 2 ans avec des enfants dans un cadre de groupe.
  • Expérience de travail avec des enfants hospitalisés est préférable.

Job description

The Patient Activity Coordinator develops and administers comprehensive activity programs and services to meet the needs of patients, siblings and their families. Together with a core group of volunteer resources, this position coordinates, supports and executes services excellence and emotionally safe care in all areas of responsibility. Position will plan and provide developmentally appropriate services, events, and programs both virtually, and in-person in areas that include but are not limited to bedside, playrooms, waiting areas, patient activity areas, and some public areas.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all activities, programming and planning associated with volunteer resources at any assigned locations and areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate, support and execute safe virtual and in-person play programs and interventions for patients, siblings and their families for areas of responsibility, including but not limited to waiting areas, public areas, activity areas, evening programs, special events, and other patient / sibling related activities.
  • Maintain patient activity areas, equipment and supplies in a safe, clean, efficient and fiscally responsible manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience Experience working with children in a group setting required; working with hospitalized children preferred. Volunteer experience would be helpful.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $20.07 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work / Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
