Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Activities Coordinator for a 24 HPW, on-site role in Clinton, MA. You will create, plan, and post group activities and events in collaboration with the COTA to support patient well-being.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college education preferred. Responsibilities include leading activities, reporting changes to nurses, and maintaining supplies in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Some college education preferred.
• Ability to plan and coordinate group activities in a care setting.

Responsibilities

• Creates, plans, and posts in advance various group activities, recreational programs, special entertainment and holiday events in collaboration with the COTA.
• Leads and participates in individual and group activities suited to meet the needs of the individual patients.
• Reports any changes in patient conduct or physical condition to the patient’s nurse.
• Evaluates and records behavior, participation, and progress of patients in groups and/or 1:1.
