Job summary

BJC HealthCare seeks a Patient Accounts Representative II for our refunds team to act as a credit resolution specialist. The role requires on-site attendance in MO or IL with monthly meetings, supporting timely review and resolution of payor and patient accounts.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and less than two years of experience; preferred are 2–5 years in related fields and experience with insurance verifications and account submissions across payors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• <2 years experience in related role preferred.
• Experience in insurance verification and patient account resolution is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert in insurance collection and billing resolution.
• Contact insurance companies regarding complex claims and update account information.
• Follow up on accounts to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Confirm patient benefits and re-file claims as needed for timely payment.
• Assist in communicating payor issues for remediation.
