Malvern Health is seeking a Patient Accounting Specialist to manage patient accounts from admission through post-discharge payment. This full-time role involves coordination with Admissions, Utilization Management, Clinical and senior management, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Location: 512 TOWNSHIP LINE ROAD - BLUE BELL, PA 19422, Malvern Health, Inc. is currently seeking a Patient Accounting Specialist to assist in the management of patient accounts at our Behavioral Health and Treatment Centers, from the time of the patient admission to the concluding payment of services after discharge. This position is a full time, benefit eligible position working 40 hours per week.
The Patient Accounting Specialist is a member of the Patient Accounting Office team and works closely with numerous departments including, but not limited to Admissions, Utilization Management, Clinical and the Malvern Health senior Management team.

Patient Accounting Specialists must have a minimum of an Associates degree in business or finance, preferably in Accounting or Healthcare Administration, or a minimum of two years experience in accounts receivable or billing department, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting. Experience with patient billing, follow up and collections in behavioral healthcare field.
In depth knowledge of funding sources and government reimbursement protocols.
Experience with Logic Software with concentration on billing matrix and business intelligence is preferred.
Strong communication skills; both verbal and written as well as analytical skills. Must be a positive team member, working effectively with other departments.
Basic understanding of medical terminology, insurance terminology and billing standards is highly preferred.
Background in credentialing with insurance companies is preferred.
