University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is seeking a patient accounts professional to manage billing, collections and reconciliation for Crime Victim compensation-related accounts. Ensure charity allowances or other coverage are applied and monitor from discharge through discharge reconciliation per payer terms.
The role requires at least one year in hospital or medical billing, knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, strong data entry and communication skills, and a preference for CHAA certification
Responsible for total patient account management to include billing, collections and reconciliation of patient accounts with Crime Victim compensation. Responsible for total-account-management to ensure charity allowances and/or other coverage is applied, as appropriate. These accounts are the representative’s responsibility from discharge until the account is reconciled as per payer contract terms and conditions and/or regulations.

Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred.
