Medical Data Systems (MDS) is seeking a Patient Account Representative to support insurance follow-up and billing activities. This role focuses on contacting insurance providers, researching claim status, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement
• Submit and re-submit claims as necessary
• Perform ongoing insurance follow-up to resolve outstanding accounts
• Research and resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies
• Accurately document account activity in company systems
• Maintain productivity and quality standards
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and company policies and procedures

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our Insurance Support and Billing team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem-solving, communicating with insurance providers, and helping ensure accurate and timely claim resolution.

Position Summary

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for insurance follow-up and collections activities, including contacting insurance carriers, researching claim status, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely reimbursement. Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

• Contact insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement
• Submit and re-submit claims as necessary
• Perform ongoing insurance follow-up to resolve outstanding accounts

• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Preferred

• Experience in hospital, physician, or medical billing and collections
• Knowledge of insurance claims processing, reimbursement procedures and denial management
