AQUA Dermatology is seeking a Patient Account Representative to manage incoming and outgoing calls with patients and insurance companies to resolve balances. This full-time remote clerical role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

AQUA Dermatology is Florida’s largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider in the Southeast, offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care, and radiation oncology.

The Patient Account Representative position is responsible for taking incoming and making outgoing calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve account balances.

Responsibilities:

• Complete all business-related requests and correspondence from patients and insurance companies.
• Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
• Assist clients and patients in all requested tasks.
• Communicate with management, areas of concern or areas of improvement.
• Performs various collection actions including the following and reporting of delinquent accounts to the collection agency.
• Posts payments and prepares daily deposit.
• Research and respond to all patient inquiries received by telephone and mail.
• Update patient demographic information and initiate account adjustments.
• Try to resolve account balances to zero prior to accounts being forwarded to an outside agency for collections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-to 2 years of Medical Reception, Medical Billing/coding, or High-Volume Call experience is preferred
