As the Patient Access Supervisor you will coordinate, supervise and be accountable for the daily activities of central registration department. You will assist the manager of patient access, as needed.

This is a full-time position. Employees are required to work from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Based on business needs, employees may also be required to work outside of these hours and including rotating weekend shifts.

This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be during normal business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that adequate coverage is in place at all times; primary liaison with after-hours service to maintain coverage.
  • Reviews and appropriately approves requests for PTO for all staff under their supervision to meet business needs.
  • Conducts daily team huddle.
  • Ability to work in production as needed to meet business demands.
  • Continually monitors staff attendance and task performance using observation, call monitoring, and formal audit tools.
  • Conducts at least monthly 1:1 with all staff under their supervision.
  • Sets daily priorities for the team to ensure timely completion and adherence with department timelines and guidelines.
  • Produces reports related to non - clinical tasks, as needed.
  • Develops plans to meet short and long term department needs and objectives.
  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment.
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, business plan, and supervising Manager.
  • Acts as the primary liaison with supervisors in other areas of business i.e., Continuity of Care, Member Services, IS, etc.
  • Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact individual employees and / or customers (internal or external).

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of experience with working in a Patient Registration/Access Department, physician office setting, or Health Information Management
  • 1+ years of experience working as a team lead, supervisor, or manager in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer applications and apply their use
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word (create and edit correspondence), Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, and sort spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Ability to work full time onsite at 1800 N California St, Stockton, CA, 95204
  • Ability to work from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Based on business needs, employees may also be required to work outside of these hours and include rotating weekend shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with medical OR health terminology
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Insurance benefits experience
  • Experienced in healthcare collections and front-end revenue cycle operations
  • Experience in healthcare billing

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
