Job Title: Patient Access Specialist Sr

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Stead Hawkins Clin Denv, CO, US

Department: UIS Inverness MRI

Employment Type: PRN, Part-time, 0.0 hours per pay period

Shift: Flex

Compensation Range

$19.00/hr - $24.00/hr, dependent on experience

Job Summary

Schedules and registers patients, obtains demographic information, and performs related clerical functions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Schedule appointments and follow-ups, assigning visit lengths per physician requests.
  2. Provide patients with instructions regarding what to bring, appointment times, and locations. Register and pre-register patients for various medical services.
  3. Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, employer, emergency contacts, and referring physicians.
  4. Verify insurance eligibility for governmental payors and review patient accounts for outstanding balances.
  5. Work within scope requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
