Job summary

Emanate Health in Covina, CA is seeking a Registration Representative to accurately and courteously process pre-admits, in-patients, ancillary patients and ER registrations in accordance with hospital policy. You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and document patient financial responsibilities.

Under the direction of the Department Director/Manager, this role requires strong customer service skills, data entry ability, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance verification

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Computer skills for data entry required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Insurance verification experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process pre-admits, in-patients, ancillary patients and ER registrations accurately and timely per hospital policy.
• Verify insurance eligibility/benefits, obtain authorizations, determine and document patient financial responsibility.
• Perform light to medium work, including pushing wheelchairs.
