Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Obtain necessary signatures for treatment.
• Process patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients and accompanying individuals for demographical information and insurance details.
• Assign Insurance Plans (IPlans) accurately.
• Verify benefits and determine pre-cert/authorization status via Passport or online resources.
• Obtain necessary identification and insurance cards.
• Explain services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment policies.
