Inova Fairfax Hospital, part of Inova Health, seeks a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join the team. The role mainly handles patient intake, registration, documentation, and scheduling across locations, with occasional float to Fair Oaks - PEC.

You will support financial counseling, verify insurance, coordinate with healthcare departments, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate service in a fast-paced hospital setting.

• Administrative & Technology Operations: Prepares schedules, tracks records, and navigates multiple systems efficiently.

• Financial Counseling: Assesses coverage and initiates financial assistance.
• Insurance & Contract Coordination: Applies payer-specific rules, resolves issues, and identifies contract limitations.

• Kiosk: Educates patients and reports usage trends on kiosks.

• Transport: Coordinates special needs transport.
• Health Information Management (HIM) Coordination: Resolves minor chart issues and assists with release of information (ROI).

• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable federal and state regulations.

Job Description

Inova Fairfax Hospital- PEC Willow Oaks is looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join their team. This position will also float to Fair Oaks - PEC location on occasion. This position is full-time, Monday- Friday7:30am-4pm.
