Work Schedule: Varied with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: Varied 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, 11:00pm-7:00am weekend and holiday coverage

Summary

The Patient Access Specialist is the front line liaison with customers, including patients, physicians, hospital departments, and offsite facilities. They register patients for all services and ensure the hospital fulfills registration, business, and administrative requirements for each patient encounter.

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year hospital registration or medical office experience required
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • General office skills, including computer proficiency, typing at least 30 wpm
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, Excel preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
