Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance of scheduled patient accounts.
• Contact patients’ families or physicians’ offices to obtain missing insurance information.
• Verify insurance and confirm eligibility of patient coverage; notify patient and physician if ineligible.
• Collaborate with scheduling to identify add-on patients.
• Obtain necessary authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.
• Notify patients of liabilities and collect funds.
• Maintain records and accurate documentation in the system.
• Adhere to University policies and safeguard University assets.
• Duties may be expanded as needed.
