Job summary

St. Luke’s is seeking a Patient Access Specialist 2 to support patient, provider, and department needs with strong customer service and accuracy.

The role includes registration, scheduling, and referral coordination across multiple Treasure Valley locations, with days, nights, and weekends on a rotating on-call schedule. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year relevant experience required.
• Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination experience valued.
• Experience with benefit verification and preauthorization is preferred.
• Customer service skills and accurate data entry are essential.

Responsibilities

• Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients.
• Discuss financial options and/or explanations of insurance coverage, including authorizations, verifications, and estimates.
• Use a variety of technologies and tools to support departmental workflows.
• Serve as a role model, mentor, trainer and resource to coworkers.
• Other duties as assigned.
