Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the full registration process in outpatient and Emergency Department settings.

The role includes identifying patients, transcribing orders, collecting payments, and coordinating with care teams to ensure high-quality service. The position requires excellent customer service, strong computer skills, and knowledge of insurance procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous medical administrative experience and/or health care related education courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in outpatient and Emergency Department locations accurately.
• Identify patients, transcribe orders, complete registration screens and insurance verification.
• Coordinate with clinics and revenue cycle departments to ensure smooth patient experience and payments.
• Communicate with SLPG practices and other departments as needed.
• May travel between campuses or regional locations to cover shifts.
• Greet patients and visitors and assist with MyChart portal and Welcome Kiosk usage.
