Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative to register patients in outpatient and ED settings.

Responsibilities include verifying demographics, insurance, and real-time eligibility, and coordinating with departments to ensure accurate records and smooth patient experiences. The role requires excellent customer service, strong computer skills, and familiarity with Epic.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correctly identify/validate patients in hospital information system.
• Complete patient registration screens, demographics, insurance verification, and real-time eligibility.
• Coordinate with clinical departments and revenue cycle to ensure smooth patient experience.
• Cross-train across locations and support outpatient and ED areas.
• Greet patients and answer calls, promoting MyChart and patient self-service.
