Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Patient Access Advocate for PRESNow Paseo to perform primary registration of patient accounts for self-pay, government, and commercial payers on date of service. The role involves verifying demographics, insurance, and collecting point-of-service liabilities while maintaining a high level of patient service.

The position requires basic understanding of CMS guidelines and EPIC proficiency, along with strong data entry skills and knowledge of billing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
• Basic insurance understanding and familiarity with billing terms helpful.
• Must complete Patient Access Academy with at least 85%.
• EPIC proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance at time of service.
• Explain patient liabilities and collect at point of service when applicable.
• Provide excellent customer service and guide patients and visitors.
• Support wayfinding and assist with registration in ADT system.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry.
