• Expected pay for this position is $17.55-$23.69. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

• The patient access specialist will provide general clerical support to the respective medical office. All duties of the patient access specialist will be performed within the framework of established operational policies and procedures. The patient access specialist will work collaboratively with the supervising physician and/or nurse practitioner, as well as any clinical support staff within the medical office to ensure effective operations.
• Job Specifications
• EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Previous medical office and / or clinical experience preferred. Typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m.
• JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have knowledge of the following: computers and medical terminology; all technical equipment used; operational / business and clinical practices commonly incorporated into the day-to-day operations of a medical practice; office policies and procedures; the patient populations must be considered when assessing job knowledge required from the employee.

• Must have the ability to express thoughts in clear and concise terms, both verbal and written.
