Johns Hopkins Medicine in Maryland invites you to join as a Patient Access Specialist (Medical Call Center Scheduler). You will support world-class care by coordinating communications between physicians and patients and scheduling appointments with a multi-disciplinary team.

We offer a hybrid schedule (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm) with onsite training in Middle River or Baltimore, MD, plus comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement contributions, generous PTO and tuition assistance to

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Passion for helping others.
• Ability to think quickly and problem solve.
• Ability to talk and type simultaneously, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States: sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Help patients receive world-class care at Maryland's premier medical institution.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients via inbound/outbound correspondence (calls, emails, faxes, etc.) between physicians and patients requesting services.
• Create connections with patients while working with an exceptional, multi-disciplinary team.
• Coordinate intricate appointment scheduling using online software.
