Job summary

Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston, GA is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to register patients using Meditech and collect demographic and financial data at the point of entry.

You will interview patients, obtain MSP information, explain Advance Directives and Patients Rights, and secure signatures for consent to treat and other releases in line with hospital policy. The role supports front desk operations and billing processes to ensure accurate patient information and timely service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year clerical and customer service experience.
• Preferred: 3 years medical office clerical exp, medical terminology experience, exp w ICD 10 codes.

• Register all patients with Meditech for service at URMC.
