Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience; or any equivalent combination.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment with professional composure.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for this role.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to complete documents, case histories, and registration.
• Prepare clinic schedules and verify patient insurance eligibility.
• Answer phones, direct calls, and route messages or lab results to staff.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, procedures, and consultations.
• Maintain medical records, files, and correspondence.
• Transmit correspondence and medical records via mail, email, or fax.
• Greet visitors and direct them appropriately.
• Check patients in and out.
• Assist in training new front desk staff.
• Operate office equipment and software to prepare reports and invoices.
