Patient Access Scheduler, Scheduling Business Support, FT, 8A-4:30P ON-SITE DEERFIELD

Responsibilities include:

1. Scheduling patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician visits, and procedures.
2. Obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information.
3. Registering patients and entering data into the scheduling system.
4. Providing professional, compassionate, and friendly service in a call center environment.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; relevant experience or certification.
• Completion of Patient Access training course.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic math skills, detail-oriented, organized, team player, with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Preferred: Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, experience with computer applications, EMR, and accurate typing skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, Medicare guidelines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is a plus.

Estimated pay range: $16.04 - $22.13 per hour, depending on experience.
