What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Schedule patient appointments for various services, including diagnostic, surgical, and therapy visits
  • Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information from patients
  • Register patients and accurately enter data into the scheduling system
  • Meet individual quality metrics in a call center-type environment
  • Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients and their families

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Completion of the Patient Access training course
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent customer service abilities
  • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is desirable

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare compliance
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole
