Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc is seeking a Regular Full-time Outpatient Access Representative in Cherry Hill, NJ. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and manage registrations for outpatient and emergency services.

Responsibilities include MSQ interviewing, pre-authorization checks, and adherence to regulatory standards while delivering quality customer service and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or GED (associate’s degree in healthcare or business administration preferred).
• Outpatient/Admissions: Minimum 3 years of customer service experience, in customer facing type roles.
• Current Jefferson Seamless Access Representatives with a minimum of 1 year of experience will be considered as meeting the experience requirement.
• Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office skills; strong verbal and written communication; strong customer service, has knowledge and ability to utilize practices, tools, and techniques for communicating with a customer.

• Uses RTE (Real Time Eligibility), Phreesia or payer websites to verify patients’ insurance coverage and benefits including patient’s out of pocket liability.
• Completes all activities with adherence to departmental and institutional protocols.
• Achieves individual and team performance metrics.
• Communicates and collects out-of-pocket liability from patients at the time of service.
• Rotates assignment to all points of service areas within Patient Access (Outpatient Registration and Emergency Department).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Salary Range

$17.00 to $21.89 Hourly

The actual hiring rate will be determined based on candidate experience, skills and qualifications.

This position is not eligible for an annual incentive.

Positions posted as annual salaries reflect an estimated amount for a 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) (i.e. 40 hour equivalent), positions for less than 1.0 FTE will be prorated.
