Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent required or preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration.
• Interviews patients for all pertinent account information.
• Verify all insurance and calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
• Answer questions and explain policies clearly.
• Check for physician orders and attach them to the patient record to ensure correct tests.
• Print and collate paperwork needed for each patient for distribution to unit/department.
• Escort patients to their area or refer patients to available escort as needed.
