A leading healthcare institution seeks a Patient Access Representative to provide patient services and administrative support. This role involves interacting with patients and parents, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with insurance policies. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma, administrative experience, and strong customer service skills.
This position reports to the Patient Access Supervisor or Manager and provides patient services and administrative support in ancillary operations. The role involves interacting with parents, patients, physicians, and staff under moderate supervision in a courteous manner. Responsibilities include collecting and verifying demographic information, scheduling appointments, and providing assistance across departments. The position may require floating to various ancillary patient access areas such as ED, RAD, LAB, AMSAC, etc. The next step in the career ladder is Senior Patient Access Rep.

Required Skills/Knowledge
Broad knowledge of administrative processes and customer service skills. Computer knowledge necessary, with preferred experience in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). Completion of Patient Access training curriculum and passing all competency assessments. Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
