Position Summary

The Patient Access Representative is the first impression patients have of OrthoNebraska. The role requires providing excellent service in a fast-paced setting, including accurate data entry, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and collecting upfront payments.

  • Status: Full-Time
  • Shift: Days, Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • FTE / Hours: 1.0 / 40
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years customer service experience (required)
  • Healthcare experience (preferred)
  • Experience in fast-paced environments (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of revenue cycle (preferred)
  • Proficient with Electronic Medical Records and computer software
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills
Essential Job Functions
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Use multiple software programs simultaneously
  • Pre-register patients, verify insurance, collect payments
  • Enter data accurately, check-in patients efficiently, schedule appointments
  • Assist with wayfinding and paperwork, maintain confidentiality
  • Participate in team meetings, comply with safety policies, perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements

This position is classified as Sedentary Work, involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing. Must be able to pass background check, pre-employment physical, and drug test, and obtain necessary licensures.
