Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and verify demographics
  • Create, scan, and route documents or electronic forms
  • Inform patients about documents and obtain signatures
  • Establish financial responsibility and assist with arrangements
  • Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances
  • Work through the registration work queue to address registration errors or denied claims
  • Coordinate scheduling with nursing team and providers, arrange referrals and pre-authorizations
  • Arrange interpreter services and check patients in/out
  • Operate multi-line phone and manage recalls/waitlists
  • Coordinate Telemed appointments and reminder calls
  • Handle chart preparation and patient data organization

Hours are 1:30pm-10pm, Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend.

Job Description
  • REGISTRATION - Greet patients & verifies demographics
  • REGISTRATION - Creating, scanning & routing documents or electronic forms
  • REGISTRATION - Inform patients what the document is & capture signatures on necessary paperwork
  • REGISTRATION - Establishes and assigns financial responsibility and assists with arrangements while adhering to appropriate policies and procedures
  • REGISTRATION - Collects co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances
  • REGISTRATION - May work through the registration work queue to address and resolve registration errors or denied insurance claims
  • SCHEDULING - Work with nursing team & providers to coordinate & schedule appointments to meet patient’s needs, coordinate provider schedule
  • SCHEDULING - Obtain and coordinate referrals & conduct pre-authorization
  • SCHEDULING - Arrange interpreter services
  • SCHEDULING - Check patients in/out
  • SCHEDULING - Operate multi-line phone
  • SCHEDULING - May resolve work queue issues, manage recall and waitlists, & serve as switchboard operator calling codes and paging providers

  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE - Initiation & collaboration of patient financial assistance

  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE - Compile, distribute, administer, and score assessments
  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE - Coordination of Telemed appointments
  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE - Reminder calls for appointments

  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE - Office duties, such as make copies or send faxes
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post‑secondary education helpful.
  • One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
  • Six months' customer service experience desired.
  • May require BLS for certain locations and/or settings.
