Min = $16.00; Mid = $18.40; Max = $20.80

Summary: The Patient Access Representative is responsible for completing the patient registration in a timely and accurate manner; secures all demographic and financial information, including Medicare/Medicaid, Third Party Liability (TPL), and Workers Compensation; verifies and/or notifies insurance company; completes cash deposits (co-pays, deductibles, self-pay); explains and answers registration questions on demand.

• Obtains accurate patient identification for walk in arrivals, at bedside and/or at designated desk;
• Explains of Condition of Admission; educates on compliance and mandated forms;
• Collects Cash, Check or Credit Card Payments and maintains cash drawer;
• Verifies/notifies insurance company by phone, fax, or website;
• Maintains work queues; notes encounters in EHR for follow up;
• Schedules and transcribes patient appointments and procedures;
• Conducts interviews with patient family members and/or insurance to answer questions or explain hospital policies; completes all financial assistance process on all self-pay, under insured, or uninsured patients;
• Other duties as assigned.
