Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, TX seeks a Patient Access Representative for the Lab 7AM-7PM shift. You will complete patient registrations for exams or tests, verify insurance eligibility, collect payments, and coordinate scheduling across modalities.

You will interact with patients and staff, handle inquiries, and ensure documentation is accurate. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1+ year of patient access or similar experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year in patient access, customer service, or related admin role preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Collects all pertinent information to register patients for exams or tests.
  • Schedule exams and coordinate multiple modalities schedules.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Collect payments, establish payment arrangements, discuss payment options.
  • All other assigned duties related to Environmental Services.
