Overview

Organization: MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical Center

Position Overview: Serves as the face to face point of contact for patients. This job is intended for use by positions employed by a hospital. Obtains all necessary information to register and financially clear patients. Greets patients/family members and obtains and/or verifies relevant information in the process of registering and financially clearing patients for service delivery. Enhances the patient experience throughout all patient interactions by serving as the customer service point of contact at the point of service by demonstrating knowledge of Sutter Health system and service offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Register patients and financially clear patients by obtaining and verifying necessary information.
  • Serve as the face-to-face point of contact for patients and family members at the point of service.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Sutter Health system and service offerings to enhance the patient experience.
Qualifications
  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience: 1 year within a hospital or clinic environment, an insurance company, managed care organization or other financial service setting, performing financial counseling, financial clearance and/or customer service activities.
