Job Description - Ambulatory Care Rep (252077)

Description: Responsible for all functions related to patient access in all Ambulatory Care areas including, but not limited to, patient check-in/check-out, registration activities, insurance verification, referral determinations, active account verification, patient demographic entry and verification, scheduling of new and follow-up appointments, lab and diagnostic services, and chemotherapy treatment through direct patient interaction and multiple electronic worklists. The position requires rotating assignments across all point-of-service areas within the department, necessitating learning and applying specific processes for each situation. All activities must adhere to departmental and institutional protocols. The Ambulatory Care Rep accepts responsibility and accountability for outpatient functions under the supervision of the Manager, Ambulatory Care Operations.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Experience: 3 years of experience in a related role; experience in a fast-paced, professional customer service environment, preferably healthcare, can be considered in conjunction with healthcare experience (Required).
