Patient Access Representative, 40-hours, Days

Join us as a Patient Access Representative, 40-hours, Days at Beth Israel Lahey Health.

This role is based in Quincy, working Monday - Friday from 8:45am to 5:15pm.

As part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) System Services team, you will help ensure a high-quality patient experience by managing efficient and welcoming access to healthcare services, respecting patient confidentiality, and supporting accurate registration and scheduling processes.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Registering patients, explaining procedures, and handling questions.
  • Processing payments and safeguarding financial transactions.
  • Completing necessary documentation and obtaining signatures.
  • Monitoring patient flow and ensuring a positive registration experience.
  • Scheduling and rescheduling appointments, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Verifying insurance coverage and financial clearance.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years related experience, including familiarity with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills:
  • Call center or customer service experience.
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
