Description:

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our ED team.


Schedule:

PRN based on department needs. Must have open M-F daytime availability, including weekends, with the ability to work shifts from 7a-3p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet, pre-register, and register patients courteously and professionally.
  • Verify insurance benefits and check for pre-certification, authorization, and referrals.
  • Perform medical necessity checks when required.
  • Secure patient signatures for hospital forms and collect financial responsibility when applicable.
  • Provide professional customer service and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Coordinate services and communicate revenue cycle issues to patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Rotate through various patient access areas and shift schedules.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in insurance verification and medical office/hospital customer service.
