Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Patient Access Representative

  • Location: Addison

  • Part Time

  • Hours: Availability from 1:30p to 8p M-F

  • Rotating Weekends and Holiday Schedule: 6:30a to 4p Sat & Sun

What you will need:

  • Education:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Associate degree in business or healthcare (Preferred)
  • License:

    • A valid driver's license is required if performing duties at an off-site location. If using personal vehicle, must maintain automobile liability coverage; evidence may be requested.
  • Experience & Skills (Preferred):

    • Manual dexterity to operate office machines
    • Minimum one to two years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections, or customer service in healthcare
    • Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology, and anatomy
    • Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Bilingual skills

What you will do:

Under supervision and according to policies, responsible for providing timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection, and medical information systems for various patient types. Collects and records demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data, screens for third-party eligibility, and enters medical necessity coding to ensure proper payment. Interacts with patients to meet their needs and explain revenue cycle processes, including payment options.
