Patient Access Rep-Central Registration (FT DAY) Abington Jefferson Health

Job Details

8:30am-5:00pm Mon-Fri and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive patient experience by demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills during registration.
  • Search and select the correct patient, gather complete demographic and insurance information, and identify uninsured patients for referral.
  • Retrieve orders, confirm medical necessity, and handle outpatient calls.
  • Collect insurance details, verify coverage using RTE, Phreesia, or payer websites, and ensure referrals and authorizations are on file.
  • Adhere to departmental and institutional protocols, meet regulatory and compliance standards, and achieve performance metrics.
  • Communicate out-of-pocket liabilities to patients and rotate through all service points within Patient Access.
Minimum Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of customer service experience in a patient-facing role, or 1 year for current Jefferson Patient Access Representatives.

Work Shift

Day shift in the United States.

Location

1200 Old York Road, Abington, PA.
