Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a full-time Patient Registration Specialist to support the Admitting Arrival team. Training/orientation lasts two weeks, with shifts 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday in Radiology/MRI, including on-site training in Springfield, MA.

The role involves patient admissions pre-registration, collecting copays, verifying demographics and insurance, and guiding patients through financial counseling when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances.
• Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and handle pre-registration processes.
• Collect copayments and patient information on site.
• Explain insurance and patient liabilities and refer to financial counseling as needed.
• Enter/update patient demographic and insurance information; post payments and reconcile records.
