Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a per diem role. You will greet and pre-register patients, verify insurance, check authorizations, and collect patient financial responsibility, delivering courteous service.

You will handle scheduling, registration, and signatures, coordinate with the revenue cycle team, and may rotate through the Emergency Room and other areas to support operations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Patient registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledges patients and families in a courteous manner; escorts as needed and directs patients to appropriate areas.
• Uses professional communication on the phone and in person to provide high level of personal attention.
• Promotes efficient processing by coordinating with the department director, patient access team, and physicians.
