Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Day Shift Patient Access professional to register patients for hospital services. The role involves gathering and processing registration and billing information across Admissions, Outpatient, Radiology, and Emergency Department areas, and verifying insurance coverage.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 3 years of Patient Access experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 3 years experience in Patient Access Required
• General experience with insurance requirements, insurance verification, and 3rd party billing required
• 3 Years Experience In a Related Role Required
• TUH/TUHS sponsored training/internship may substitute for experience

Responsibilities

• Gathers and processes all registration, billing and related information from patients in the Admissions, Outpatient, Radiology areas and/or Emergency Department.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits.
• Promotes a positive patient encounter as the first impression of the Hospital.
