Job summary

Providence Swedish Issaquah is seeking an admissions coordinator to support patient flow in the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department. You will handle front line customer service, reception and Registration, and interview patients to gather demographic and financial data.

Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s Degree and 2 years’ experience in medical admitting, with experience in registration, financial counseling, insurance terminology.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 2 years' experience in a medical setting with inpatient or outpatient admitting.
• Patient Registration or financial counseling or insurance and medical terminology experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information and support needed for the flow of patients in the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department environment.
• Provide front line customer service including reception and Registration.
• Interview patients and families to obtain demographic and financial data, completing consents and directing patients.
• Assist patients with financial aid programs and identify alternate sources of coverage for hospital stays.
• Serve as POS team expert to facilitate all registration functions during hospitalization.
• Coordinate coverage issues with Physician Offices and POS team members.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and flexible in unscheduled shifts.
